Located in the heart of the Village on Canal Street, VIA has an enviable reputation for offering customers old and new a warm welcome, excellent food, superb service and top class entertainment into the early hours.
The interior design at VIA provides for a completely unique experience that is more like a stage set than a bar; a labyrinth of walkways and corridors open up to larger spaces that are decorated in ornate Gothic pieces and church furnishings. VIA has been used as a location for scenes in a number of films and TV shows including Coronation Street, Bob & Rose, Cold Feet and Queer as Folk.

We have a fabulous menu available from 12 noon until 10pm Monday to Saturday and 12 noon to 9pm on Sundays which includes something for everyone from a light bite to a hearty main course.
We've got a range of starters, wraps and sharers, succulent Aberdeen Angus burgers, super salads, authentic pasta, a wide selection of main courses from Thai red curry to traditional steak and ale pie, loads of sides and some sumptuous puds!
When the sun goes down, the lights go up and VIA transforms from a traditional bar and restaurant into it's most famous incarnation as the Gay Village's premier attraction.
Over the years we have won numerous awards, most recently VIA was voted the UK's best Gay bar 2007 by Gay Times and North West Gay Bar of the Year 2007 by Pink Paper.

If you're in the mood for some attitude free clubbing, then we've got live DJ's until 2am weekdays and 3am Fridays and Saturdays playing an eclectic mix of music from cheesy pop to Ibiza classics, house, and gay anthems.

We offer a wide selection of function packages ranging from canapés to large buffets and seated meals. If you have a specific menu in mind we are confident that we will be able to accommodate your requirements.
As a purpose built entertainment venue we can also offer you a range of additional services and facilities including cocktail waiters, DJ's, live bands, karaoke and specialty entertainers.
We can theme VIA to your exact requirements and provide your occasion specifics such as birthday cakes, balloons, banners.
For business events Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises and large projectors and screens can be used for computer or film presentations.
